With just one word…

Eliminate this 1 word to lean out your mom tummy and get back into your favorite outfit before Labor Day.

You have to stop using the word, “try…” Because the phrase “I’ll try” leaves the back door open.

The back door is your way out of performing a behavior you know gets you closer to fitting into your favorite outfit staring at you from the back of your closet.

The back door trap sounds like:
“I’ll try to eat better today.”
“I’ll try to workout if it’s not too hot.”
“I’ll try to meal plan if it’s not too busy this weekend.”
“I’ll try to make a good choice eating out.”
“I’ll try to avoid alcohol this week.”
“I’ll try to go to bed on time.”
“I’ll try to stop eating the kids leftovers.”
“I’ll try to stop hating on the girl in the mirror.”

Can you hear it? That’s indecision. That’s insecurity. That’s a story that your brain is telling you. That’s lack of commitment to YOU!

Slam that door because you deserve more.

Replace “I’ll try” with “I will” and “I can” or “I must.” Repeat it with me.
“I’ll eat Whole Foods 5 days this week.”
“I’m going to do as many minutes of the workout as I can 3 days this week.”
“I’ll must meal plan for my sanity this week.”
“I get to feel good about myself by making smart eating out choices.”
“I love my body best by drinking only water this evening.”
“I care enough about tomorrow that I’ll go to bed now.”
“I feed myself well.”
“I love the woman looking back at me in the mirror.”

Yes, this summer is different and challenging. Your daily and weekly habits may have to shift a bit. And that is success.

Your brain is going to tell you a story about your actions. It can either be negative or positive, unhelpful or helpful, discouraging or inspiring. Speak life over your actions and find enjoyment in the process every. single. day.
